Ingredients
- raw shrimp — 300 g, peeled and deveined
- zucchini — 1 large, sliced into half-moons 1 cm thick
- ginger — 3 slices + 1 tsp finely grated
- scallions — 2 stalks, finely chopped
- light soy sauce — 1.5 tbsp
- sesame oil — 1/2 tsp
- hot water — 2 tbsp
- salt — 1/2 tsp
Steps (beginner-friendly)
- Peel and devein the shrimp (or buy pre-peeled to save 5 minutes). Rinse under cold water.
- Make the dipping sauce first: mix grated ginger, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and 2 tbsp hot water in a small bowl. Set aside.
Tip: Shrimp turn rubbery if overcooked — the loose C shape means done; a tight O shape means overcooked.
