Ingredients
- fresh pork liver — 200 g, sliced thin
- spinach — 200 g
- ginger — 4 slices
- cooking wine — 1 tbsp
- cornstarch — 1 tsp
- salt — 1/2 tsp
- sesame oil — 1/2 tsp
- water or chicken stock — 700 ml
Steps (beginner-friendly)
- Slice the pork liver into 3 mm thin pieces, rinse under cold water 3 times until the water runs mostly clear.
- Soak liver slices in a bowl of cold water with the cooking wine for 10 minutes to draw out impurities and mellow the flavor.
Tip: Eat liver once a week during confinement: it is one of the richest natural sources of iron and vitamin A for replenishing blood loss after delivery. Do not overcook or it turns rubbery.
